Sabrina Mirza, MA, LCSW

Hi! I’m Sabrina Mirza, and I am a licensed clinical social worker. I specialize in working with adults of all ages and intersecting identities whose mental health is impacted by adversities related to complex trauma, navigating BIPOC identity/ethnocultural experiences, systemic oppression, grief & loss, depression, & anxiety. I received my master's in social work from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and have experience working in various levels of care and settings. My therapeutic approach aims to follow an anti-oppressive framework to assist in creating a safe environment driven by consent and collaboration.

My therapeutic approach aims to follow an anti-oppressive framework to assist in creating and establishing a safe environment, and is driven by consent, collaboration, compassion, and curiosity. I believe in tailoring my sessions and interventions to each unique individual and their needs to support them in coping with mental health challenges and moving towards their values. 

Therapeutic modalities that I have clinical training and experience in include acceptance & commitment therapy, polyvagal theory, attachment/relational theory, dialectical behavioral therapy, cognitive processing therapy, & trauma-informed mindfulness practices.
