Objectives:

  1. Discuss the complicated nature of doing trauma work

  2. Explore the reactions that therapist has to client and that client has to therapist (transference, countertransference, trauma history of therapist, intrusions)

  3. Learn gentle ways of being with self and client and how to communicate with client when histories collide or therapy relationship becomes complex
